xorg.conf dla Ubuntu 9.10 i karty x3100

Instalując daily build Ubuntu 9.10 powyżej Alpha 5 zdarza się, że po zainstalowaniu systemu logujesz się i masz czarny ekran (tzw. black screen of death). Rozwiązaniem jest przygotowanie dobrego xorga i wrzucenie do /etc/X11. Szczegóły dlaczego tak na ubuntuforums.org

1. Ctrl+Alt+F1, login, telinit 1
2. Xorg -configure
3. sudo cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf
4. nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf, pod koniec sekcji Device dopisać Option “DRI” “off”
5. wykomentować całą sekcję monitora i dopisac nową :) [no chyba, że komuś wykryje poprawnie monitor]

6. w sekcji Screen podmienić Monitor "Monitor0" na Monitor "NEC MultiSync FE2111SB"
7. shutdown -r now

Niestety blogger rozpieprza kod xorga parsując wszystkie tagi < i > i tym podobne
mimo użycia znaczników code i pre, więc nie mogę tu wkleić gotowca :(
